Triumph in the Heart of Europe
NIKOS EFTHIMIADIS HELD TWO IMPRESSIVE CONCERTS IN STRASBOURG
Two significant music concerts with great success and large audiences, highly acclaimed by the French media, were held in the heart of Europe, in Strasbourg from June 1 to June 5, 2024, by Nikos Efthimiadis directing the Mixed Inclusive Choir of Karditsa at the Karditsa Conservatory - Konstantinos Efthimiadis, invited by prominent French organizations.
The tour concluded with literal acclaim in a grand tour, featuring 2 concerts, the first on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in the central Concert Hall of Munsterhof in Strasbourg with the performance of significant works, conducted by Maestro Nikos Efthimiadis from Karditsa, who continuously imparts the spiritual mark of our homeland in the heart of Europe, in a journey with over 1500 concerts worldwide.
With a multifaceted high-level program that began with "Va pensiero" from G. Verdi's opera Nabucco and concluded with the Neapolitan song "O sole mio," in a packed hall (Sold out), he continued consciously the long-term effort of representing Greek music and culture with dignity, ethos, and style in the global cultural scene.
For the second time in two months, the Mixed Choir of Karditsa from the Karditsa Conservatory - Konstantinos Efthimiadis and Nikos Efthimiadis appeared abroad, specifically in Strasbourg, in two very significant concerts (recently performed in Italy in four concerts in Campania in Caffaro's Stabat Mater and Neruda's concerto).
Works of ecclesiastical and art Greek music were heard, both monophonic and polyphonic, from Byzantium to today, Renaissance, classical, and Negro, while the atmosphere created was moving with warm applause and great audience participation.
It was a significant presence of Karditsa, Thessaly, Greece, and Nikos Efthimiadis, advocating the distinguished choral-musical tradition of our region, establishing it as a Pan-Hellenic and international center of choral practice.
And of course, with a full a capella program but also accompanied by piano (superbly accompanied by pianists Giorgos Tsoukanis and Gent Rushi), performed by the Mixed Inclusive Choir of Karditsa at the Karditsa Conservatory - Konstantinos Efthimiadis, consisting of outstanding musician singers with professional training in the majority.
The first concert took place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 5 pm, in the Greek Orthodox Church of Strasbourg.
The second concert took place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 7 pm in the central Concert Hall of Münsterhof, in the center of Strasbourg, with the Mixed Inclusive Choir of Karditsa from the Karditsa Conservatory - Konstantinos conveying that in Art and Music, Karditsa, Thessaly, and Greece Stand Tall.
It was a significant high-level presence of Greece, Karditsa, and Nikos Efthimiadis with profound messages in a country with a great musical tradition, such as France, in the heart of Europe in Strasbourg, with a rare and demanding repertoire that impressed and enthused.
