At the Efthimiadis Conservatory

LESSONS IN VOCAL TECHNIQUE - Diction - Voice - Method and Techniques - Singing

The Vocal School of the Conservatory of Karditsa – Nikos Efthimiadis has been operating normally since the first year of the conservatory, providing many students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and diplomas in Singing.

The Conservatory of Karditsa – Nikos Efthimiadis also offers a series of courses focused on proper speech delivery, diction, and voice cultivation, aimed at achieving either a healthy voice or pursuing an amateur or professional career.

Studying Singing and at the Vocal School allows for professional advancement through the acquisition of a Diploma.

Our voice is also a reflection of our personality, and the way we express ourselves reveals parts of ourselves, attracting or repelling, exciting or tiring those who listen to us.

Have you ever wondered if you use your voice correctly? Are we doing a disservice to ourselves and showing traits we don't want to? Do we tire those who are following us, or is our throat strained and our voice often hoarse? Are we sending the right messages through our voice?

Proper voice usage helps attract others' interest and maintain their attention. At the same time, it gives the speaker control over their voice and the audience without causing fatigue.

This is a significant opportunity for those who wish to study diction, vocal technique, and singing in Karditsa with Nikos Efthimiadis and his collaborators.

The lesson is individual and ideally aims to identify each student's weaknesses, build their self-confidence, broaden their perception, and ultimately discover the magic of vocal music.

It is well known that teaching singing is a laborious and challenging educational process, as it requires collaboration between the teacher, the educator, and the artist. Since cultivating the human voice is a complex, scientific process, specialized knowledge is necessary for both sound emission and voice production.

It is aimed at music students who wish to engage seriously with singing, as well as individuals who need a cultivated and proper voice, such as chanters, priests, educators at all levels, public and private sector employees, salespeople, lawyers, and entrepreneurs of small and large businesses.

The following topics are taught:

  • Breathing – diction – expression
  • Diction, proper posture
  • Development of a repertoire of international and Greek, contemporary and classical music
  • Interpretation – style and period
  • Acting, movement
  • Development and recognition of diaphragmatic breathing through vocal exercises
  • Development of a repertoire of international and Greek music
